How To Get Rid Of Acne: 3 Simple Steps

There are as many different ways on how to get rid of acne as there are people in the world. What works for one won’t necessarily work for another. There are 3 foundations, however, that everyone should build their acne treatments around. They are diet, exercise and the products you put on your face. Together, these 3 will do the most in treating your acne.

By eating the right foods and avoiding the bad one’s, you can help avoid future breakouts. Specifically, avoiding processed food, red meat and dairy are the kinds of food you want to avoid. The simple truth is that you if have acne, you have food allergies of some sort. People who have acne tend to be allergic to things such as dairy or white breads/pasta and acne is just the body’s way of trying to let you know that there’s a problem.

The simplest way to know that you’re eating the right foods is to shop around the outside isles where all the fresh and natural foods are located. Try to focus on eating green, leafy vegetables, fruits and nuts and do your best to stay away from the inner isles that have processed foods. Soups tend to have to much sodium, pastas have starches and sugars and the list goes on. Eating more natural foods will account for a significant drop in the amount of break outs you experience.

You don’t have to give up your favorite foods by any means. I still eat red meat and I still consume dairy. You just have to find substitutions where you can and eat in moderation when you can’t. My solution for the red meat is to eat only from cows that are grass fed and not given any hormones. If you like pasta or bread, switch to whole wheat or multi0grain alternatives. With just some small changes to your diet you can gain many benefits to the health of your skin.

Another great way to help clear your skin is to exercise. Exercise has the effect of clearing your skin because the increased blood flow will deliver more oxygen. In addition to increased oxygen delivery, the increased blood flow will also clear away more toxins which in turn will prevent future breakouts. Moderate exercise just 3 times a week will do wonders to clear your skin.

Water consumption goes hand in hand with exercise. This is because for maximum performance during exercise, you have to be properly hydrated. In addition to exercise performance, staying well hydrated will keep your skin healthy, toxin free and moisturized. As far as how much to drink, well the old 6-8 glasses advice is a bare minimum. The truth is you need to consume a lot more than that. I personally drink anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 a gallon each day. Combined with the increased blood flow from exercise, water makes a pretty strong competitor against acne.

Finally, you’ll want good products to take care of your face. Personally, I’ve stopped using any sort of medicines as I feel they’re to harsh for my skin, not to mention they never worked very well and were expensive to boot. I’ve switched to using strictly homemade acne treatments and other solutions for acne. My favorite is the oil cleansing method, but there are a myriad of them out there.

One final point. Be sure to moisturize even if you have oily skin. Moisturizer keeps your skin healthy and it also makes it look good. When shopping for your own, make sure it’s non-comedogenic and also make sure it is made for sensitive skin. This is because you don’t want it to clog your pores, and also you want to treat your skin as sensitively as possible. So remember, when your body is happy, your skin will be too.
